This page explains how to request deletion of your SabiDoc account, whether you're a patient or a provider (doctor, lab, or pharmacy), and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
Open the SabiDoc app, go to your profile (the "More" tab for patients, or Settings for providers), and choose Delete account. Confirm once more when asked. This submits a deletion request, it doesn't delete your account instantly.
If you can't access the app, email privacy@sabidoc.com from the address or phone number on your account and ask us to delete it.
Our compliance team reviews every deletion request before it's processed, this is a manual check, not an automatic wipe. You can cancel the request yourself at any time before it's processed, from the same screen you requested it on.
Once processed, we permanently remove your ability to sign in and every piece of information that identifies you: your name, phone number, email, Mobile Money details, date of birth, sex, and profile photo. For providers, this also includes your license number, verification documents, payout details, and practice address. Your name is replaced with a generic label like "Deleted patient" or "Deleted provider." For patients, we also permanently delete your Women's Health records (cycle dates, logged symptoms, notes and reminder settings), and we remove the email address, phone number, IP address and any notes from security reports about your account.
Your past consultations and prescriptions stay on record, but de-identified, disconnected from your name or any other detail that could point back to you. We keep this because we're required to for medical record-keeping, not because we want to keep anything about you personally. This isn't on a fixed countdown that later purges it, it stays de-identified indefinitely.
Today, deletion applies to your whole account, we don't yet offer a way to remove a single record while keeping the rest of your account active. If you want a specific concern addressed, email privacy@sabidoc.com and we'll look at it directly.
Questions about this process can be sent to privacy@sabidoc.com. See our Privacy policy for more on how we handle your data generally.
